The Background

The Bristol City Robins Foundation is the official charity of Bristol City Football Club, dedicated to using sport and community engagement to improve lives across Bristol.

Working with children, young people, and adults, the Foundation delivers a wide range of programmes focused on education, health, inclusion, and employability. As its impact and reach have grown, so too have its operational and administrative requirements.

The Challenge

Following a period of expansion, the Robins Foundation identified the need for a more robust and scalable HR platform.

Its existing system no longer offered the functionality required to support a growing organisation delivering diverse programmes across the community. At the same time, transitioning to a new system brought challenges around implementation, staff training, and maintaining continuity across day-to-day operations.

The Foundation needed a solution that could meet its current needs while supporting future growth, all within a smooth and well-supported transition process.

The Solution

By implementing HBHR, the Robins Foundation successfully transitioned to a more comprehensive and user-friendly HR platform.

The implementation was carefully managed, with strong collaboration and support throughout to ensure minimal disruption. Clear and practical training enabled staff to quickly build confidence and begin using the system effectively.

HBHR provides a wide range of functionality, allowing the Foundation to streamline HR processes, improve efficiency, and better support its growing workforce.

Ongoing support remains a key part of the partnership, with responsive assistance ensuring any questions are addressed quickly and effectively.

The Results

The Robins Foundation has experienced a smooth and successful transition to its new HR platform.

The system now offers greater flexibility and capability, enabling the organisation to manage HR processes more efficiently as it continues to expand its services across the community.

Strong implementation and training have driven high levels of confidence among staff, while ongoing support ensures the platform continues to deliver value.

Overall, the Foundation now benefits from a reliable and scalable HR solution that supports both its operational needs and its mission to positively impact lives.

“Great engagement and full support offered all the way through the transition process from our previous HR platform to HBHR. We felt fully supported every step of the way and continue to receive quick and detailed responses. Nothing is too much trouble which is what you need when you are moving platforms.

The training provided is thorough detailed and easy to understand and everything has gone really smoothly. We needed a more comprehensive platform as we have grown over the last five years and HBHR has delivered exactly that.”
